Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan al-Qadri has been serving the Muslim community for over 30 years. He began his Islamic studies in Pakistan at Minhaj University in Lahore specialising in Quran Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis) and Fiqh (Jurisprudence) graduating summa cum laude. He also completed his post-graduate studies in Islamic Sciences at the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo. His teachers included Al-Sayyid Tahir Ala alDin al-Jilani, Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri, Shaykh al-Azhar Ahmad Tayyib, Shaykh Saeed As’ad al-Saghajji. Since his graduation, Shaykh Mohammad Ramadan has travelled across the world, from Hong Kong to the UK to deliver lectures and teach the Islamic Sciences. He served as the principle for Farghana Institute in Manchester, England for 6 years, where he taught the Islamic Sciences to Muslim youth born and raised in the West. In Australia, he served the Geelong Muslim community as the Imam of the Geelong mosque for 8 years. He has co-founded Victorian Islamic Commission of Research, Fatwa and Charity. He now works with the ICV as a prison chaplain.
