Welcome to the Geelong Islamic Community

Our Mission

“Our mission at the Geelong Islamic Community Center is to serve the needs of the Muslim community in Geelong and to promote a deeper understanding of Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment, where everyone can connect with their faith, learn about the teachings of Islam, and contribute to a vibrant and supportive community. Our key objectives include:

  • Fostering Spiritual Growth: We strive to provide comprehensive religious services and programs that cater to the spiritual needs of our community, facilitating a deeper connection with Allah and a better understanding of Islamic principles.
  • Promoting Education and Knowledge: Through our educational programs for children, youth, and adults, we aim to nurture a community that is knowledgeable about their faith and confident in practicing it in their daily lives.
  • Building Community and Brotherhood: We are dedicated to creating a sense of unity and brotherhood among Muslims in Geelong, organizing social and cultural activities that bring people together and celebrate our rich diversity.
  • Engaging in Outreach and Interfaith Dialogue: We actively engage in outreach programs and interfaith dialogue, aiming to build bridges with other communities, foster mutual respect, and promote a positive understanding of Islam.
  • Supporting the Welfare of our Community: Our center is committed to supporting the welfare of our community members, offering assistance and programs that address their social, economic, and emotional needs.”
